Joanne Warring acupuncture

I’m Jo and I’m a Licensed Traditional Acupuncturist working in Swansea and Mumbles. I treat patients for a wide range of conditions, ranging from acute and chronic pain, to digestive problems, anxiety and infertility. I have a special interest in women’s health and am a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network. I use traditional acupuncture and other Chinese Medicine techniques, such as moxibustion and gua sha, to restore the equilibrium of the mind and body.

If you’re in pain, tired all the time, feeling stressed, struggling to conceive or suffering from ill health then get in touch. You can browse my website to find out more about acupuncture and how to book an appointment with me. If you have any questions, please get in touch. I also offer free 20-minute consultations if you would prefer to meet me and discuss your health needs before booking an appointment.

Women’s Health

A woman’s body is in a constant state of change – puberty, periods, pregnancy and menopause. Whilst these natural cycles should cause minimal disruption, many women find them distressing or uncomfortable.

Modern lifestyles can easily disturb hormonal balance and acupuncture is a good choice of treatment for the relieving the associated physical and emotional difficulties. Women

Traditional Chinese Medicine has used acupuncture in a cosmetic context for thousands of years. Facial acupuncture regenerates the skin through micro-wound healing, helping to smooth lines and increase firmness. It offers a natural alternative to more invasive or chemical cosmetic treatments.

Although acupuncture is best known for its usefulness in pain management it is also helpful for a wide range of other health conditions such as digestive problems, headaches, seasonal allergies and bladder problems. There are also wider benefits for general well-being and so many people use it regularly as part of their health maintenance plan.

Mental health disorders can affect anyone at any time, disrupting a person’s thinking feeling, mood and ability to relate to others. It is estimated that around a third of people will be affected at some point in their lives. This can be a frightening and isolating experience and is often accompanied by a raft of physical problems such as palpitations, headaches and digestive issues. Acupuncture is a gentle treatment that can be used effectively alongside medication and talking therapies.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a branch of traditional medicine that has been practised in China and the Far East for thousands of years. It has been developed, tested, researched and refined over this time into a treatment option accessed by increasing numbers of patients in the West. Without the benefit of modern scientific equipment, the first acupuncturists discovered many now familiar aspects of biomedical science.
